what i write:

I write about how things are in the world and how we experience them. I do this in all forms and genres, academic or not. My published work thus far consists of two books (The Truth about Modern Slavery - Pluto 2021; Who Cares: the Hidden Crisis of Caregiving and How We Solve It - Hachette 2023), journalistic articles and comment pieces.

why i write:

I write to make sense of the world. It might be my world or it might be that of others. For me, writing puts a form around experience - something I find important for creating understanding between people and undermining the isolation of individual experience.
