what i write:

I write academic texts about international politics, shopping lists about what’s for dinner, text messages about the latest gossip, and stories about the spectres and bliss of everyday life.

why i write:

F. Scott Fitzgerald said ‘You don't write because you want to say something, you write because you have something to say’– and doesn’t that ring true in the study of politics? Stephen King said ‘Writing isn’t about making money, getting famous, getting dates, getting laid, or making friends – it is about getting up, getting well, and getting over – about getting happy, okay? Getting happy’ – and doesn’t that ring true in the living of life?
